Terms of use

This draft explains the relationship between Hostelivo and the properties that use the platform.

Draft that needs legal review. This text is an early draft written to show the intended approach only. A licensed Saudi lawyer has not reviewed it yet. It is not a binding agreement and not a statement of compliance with any law.

Draft last updated 26 October 2026

1The service

Hostelivo is a software platform for running hostels and shared housing. It provides tools to manage beds, reservations, guests and daily operations.

The platform is not a public booking site and is not a party to the relationship between a property and its guests.

2Trial hostel

The trial hostel uses made-up data, and payments and locks in it run in test mode.

Every feature or integration is shown with its stated status on the site. An integration status does not mean it works with your devices.

3Your account

The account owner is responsible for the accuracy of property data and for who on the team gets permissions.

Sign-in details must be protected, and two-step verification turned on for sensitive roles when available.

4Property responsibilities

The property is responsible for its licences and for complying with the rules for its category. The platform does not issue, renew or verify any licence.

Registering guests in the platform does not replace official registration through approved channels.

Installing locks and devices, and safe exit, are the responsibility of the property and its installer.

5Payments

Reservation money goes to the property's account with the payment provider it chooses, under its own agreement. The platform does not receive this money.

Platform fees follow the plan listed on the pricing page.

6Data

Guest data belongs to the property. The platform processes it on the property's behalf and under its instructions, as the privacy policy explains.

When a subscription ends, the property can export its data within a period set in the final version.

7Acceptable use

The platform must not be used to collect data without a lawful basis, to monitor guests unlawfully, or for any unlawful activity.

Attempting to access another property's data or disrupting the service is not allowed.

8Limitation of liability

Liability limits and service levels will be set in the final version after legal review.

9Governing law

The terms are expected to be governed by the laws of Saudi Arabia. Final wording will follow legal review.

10Changes

These terms may change. Account owners will be told about any material change before it takes effect.
